Q. What exactly does Royco do?
A. Royco manufactures the most state-of-the-art reactor unit for the conversion of waste plastics and waste oil into high grade petroleum products. With over 10 years experience Royco has become the world leader in the waste plastics to oil arena. With a successfully operating plant in the R.O.K., Royco has succeeded where so many has failed.
Q. How is Royco different from all the rest?
A. The majority of waste plastic to oil processors utilize flue gases and other means to heat their systems indirectly thereby having loss of heat energy. By so doing, these other systems face problems with costs of operation, coking and inefficient processing of the waste plastics. The Royco system utilizes the company proprietary system of Far Infrared Inner Heating which dramatically reduces costs, virtually eliminates coking and has the most efficient processing record of all other methods.
Q. What makes the Far Infrared Inner Heating system so special?
A. The big advantage from the Far Infrared system is that it heats the waste plastics much quicker and more thouroughly thereby shortening the time needed to melt the plastics to the stage where the hydrocarbon vapors are released. Another big advantage is that with the inner heating system, the amount of heat loss is greatly reduced so that the unit runs more economically and efficiently than other units who use in-direct heating sources.
Q. How big is the reactor system that Royco sells?
A. The reactor system requires about 140 square meters not including the area that is needed for storage and pretreatment of the waste plastics. The area for the storage of waste plastics should be big enough to hold at least 20 to 30 tons of waste plastics. When we ship each unit, we can load everything into containers for easy shipping. The really nice feature is that each unit is portable and can be moved to another location very easily.
Q. How much waste plastics can your unit process?
A. Royco offers three (3) different capacities in units. The smallest is 1500 tons annually, then there is a 3000 ton annually unit and the largest one is 6000 tons.
Q. What kind of yields can I expect from processing waste plastics with the Royco unit?
A. Depending on the mix in the feedstock, you can expect 30% to 80% yields from the processing of waste plastics. When you add waste oil to the feedstock you can increase your yields substantially. Again, the yields depends on the mix of the feedstock that your suppling to the reactor system.
Q. How hard is it to operate the units and are they maintenence intensive?
A. All of our units are easy to operate due to the amount of automation that is present on each unit. As for maintenence, we have the most reliable and low maintenence unit that is offered in the industry. To find out more info on this please contact our sales department.
Q. What types of plastics can be used in the system?
A. Most all thermoplastic resins can be processed. PVC must be 10% or less though in the feedstock. We are currently looking at the capability to process nylon in the R&D department and also the processing of rubber from tires as the process for tire rubber is very close to the same as plastics.
Q. Ok, I want to buy one. But how long before the unit is up and running and making oil?
A. This is where Royco really stands out as the Leader in the Industry. After you pay the intial deposit, within 6 months or less you are up and running and making oil with your system. With other systems it usually takes 1 to 2 years before you see a drop of oil, but with Royco you have it in less than 6 months.
